Recently, I've had multiple people rip assets from my games.
Being a solo developer, I put a significant amount of time and effort into creating the assets used within my games. This can include modelling, texturing and animating, and it takes multiple designs and plenty of experimentation until one looks good enough, meaning I need to repeatedly create assets until they fit the game properly.
Therefore, many of the assets you see in my projects can be the result of hours of work that isnt exactly obvious by simply looking at the final product.
Because of this, it's understandably frustrating to see those assets taken directly from my games and then uploaded and used elsewhere without my permission.
For this reason, I would like to ask that people refrain from ripping assets from my games and using them elsewhere.
I'm not asking people to stop being inspired by my projects, I think it's great that people find my games a source of inspiration, just please stop ripping my assets.
If you would genuinely like to use an asset I've created, contact me. I may be able to provide the asset or point you towards an alternative. After all, I'd much rather have someone ask than to just take without my permission.
